The Kramer Condor

Debuting in 1985 with an ad featured EVH, John McEnroe and Vitas Gerulaitis was Kramer's answer to the Gibson Explorer, the Condor. (Vitas is holding it in the ad)

The Condor body was actually a bit smaller and sleeker than the Gibson with an extended lower horn that came more to a point. Features were the banana headstock, two Schaller hums, Schaller tuners, Floyd Rose, 1 vol, 1 tone and three way switch. Colors were black, white, creme, trans blue, trans red, blueburst, 3 tone sunburst, candy red and candy blue. I believe some also had graphics. Maple or rosewood boards were available.

The Condor changed to Duncans pickups and the pointy head later on. It lasted until 1986 then was dropped. There is also word that a single pickup version of the Condor is out there although this may not be valid as none I know has been witnessed as of this writing.
